November watercolors
Some new watercolors from autumn painting session.
From Wetcanvas:
This art piece is watercolour in one of its finest expressions, imo. The hard lines are superb at bringing the important stuff forward and adding tonal value. Not an easy thing to capture in this method and it is the juxtaposition of light that brings this performance to an alive moment. I like how it does that.
Due to the lightness of the nose and beard, they appear to come forward as if wanting to drape over the back of the instrument. The hands and instrument do come forward to centre stage with all their details, darker notes and as COI. good stuff.
Um, my obersvation: Perhaps a tad more light on the top of the hand for me would propel that all important edge even further into the prominence of the foreground. Just an option, perhaps for next time. It has a fine presence the way it is too.
The technique of lost lines meld attention and thrust a view towards the foreground detail, superb feature.
A joy to be with this art.
